If scouters existed in real life, what do you think the highest power level on earth would be ? |

8 maybe provided they aren't 100% relative to physical strength. Someone like Bruce Lee probably could have pulled off an 8 not sure about anyone alive, maybe some of the guys that can use chi to set stuff on fire and whatnot. And the ones who "fly" |

I'd have the highest one, which would probably be 17, since I got arms like horse legs. I can jump super high, like around 1 meter and I can run as fast as a guy on a bike. My chi is also incredibly high. You know those lamps, that you can turn on and off by clapping, right? I can turn them on and off just by making a noise, that only people with high chi level are able to make. I never tried to fly though. |

Whom ever can run, lift, react and endure more than anybody else on average should have the highest power reading. Should be around seven or eight in my opinion. I consider ten to be bullet resistant so nobody has one that high. It's probably some iron man contest winner or something. Perhaps even a special forces soldier? I doubt it's an Olympian since they tend to only be good in one area. Be funny if it was Brian Blessed. He's meant to be a very tough man. Climbed Everest three times. |

any number can be average. it just depends on what the programmers are feeling that day. like since there's no way to objectively quantify "power" already, it's basically a new scale that's being made. so i'd imagine a s***load of testing would be conducted and whatever the average score of that would be given a number and be called average, then you use a normal distribution curve to put labels on the rest p much like intelligence. 100 is the average IQ score for most standardized tests. it could've been any number, but 100 is... nice. i guess. it's pretty much arbritary, but it makes comparing people easier and more consistent. I say "fly" because it's more like...jump a bit higher... Was in a documentary I watched years ago, was pretty cool they go in the lotus position I think and can bounce along mats then jump up like half a meter. So sit down, cross your legs and try to jump that high. Not happening... If it really is to do with chi and/or enlightenment I'd imagine that would put their powerlevel up if such a thing could be measured today. I think your mental energy would contribute to it a lot more than your physical, but you would need to be physically strong too. Some of the guys on Worlds Strongest Man could probably take a bullet, as long as it wasn't to the head or anywhere soft. Imagine not needing a bullet proof vest because you're so ripped bullets do nothing... |

Scouters in dbz seem to be a comparison against Freeza. So what was Freeza's highest power again? Because what they seemed to be doing was measuring against that in some way. |

Gotcha, we're on the same page now! There are people that strong that withstand a bullet?! Do you mean that their muscle mass is so dense that a bullet can't penetrate?! Please clarify because you have me amazed now!

Most people say Goku's power level is like 10 at the start of Dragonball ? He could easily lift a car with no effort really, so 8 is probably the human limit right now. |

No not possible. A car door can't even take a low caliber round. Pretty sure car doors are tougher than any person's body. Well if we are talking about if somebody went and made a scouter today, it would have some sort of base data to work off. Otherwise the numbers would be meaningless. So what would be the average man? 1, 5, 10, 50? What exactly would it even be measuring? How do you assign a number to that measurement? Without a being like Freeza to base the data from, I don't see how a scouter can make any sense to be honest. |

ive already answered that
you make a standardized measurement of the new construct by measuring ppl's level (obviously once it's been defined, but that's implied since the hypothetical situation is that scouters exist), then you slap a number to whatever the average reading is. it's just like making any sort of test/measurement of ability irl Edited by Buuberries, Aug 19 2013, 01:59 AM.

Are you talking about the average car door? I'm not sure they are stronger than a human body, you can damage a car door with no damage to yourself. |

Well a human body is flesh and tissue, a car door is metal. I think if I punch a car door, my hand is going to come off worse than the door.
